Frequently asked questions

Can the watermark be removed?
The text is drawn straight into the page content, so there's no remove button hidden in the file. That said, this isn't a security measure — anyone with a PDF editor can still strip it out. Think of it as a marking, not a lock.
Does Vietnamese diacritical text render correctly?
Yes. The tool embeds a Unicode font in the file, so accented characters display correctly in every PDF viewer. The embedded font only adds around 6KB to the file.
Can I watermark just a few pages instead of the whole document?
Yes. Leave the page range field blank to watermark every page, or enter something like 1-3, 7 to stamp only those pages.
Can I use an image watermark, like a logo, instead of text?
Not yet. This tool only handles text watermarks for now. An image variant needs picking two different file types in one go, and that's still being built.
Does this upload my file to a server?
No. The whole watermarking process runs as JavaScript right inside your browser. Your file never leaves your device.
