Frequently asked questions

Can I number just a few pages instead of the whole document?
Yes. Leave the page range field blank to number every page, or enter something like 1-3, 7 to number only those pages.
Does numbering always have to start at 1?
It starts at 1 by default, but you can set it to whatever page number you want the sequence to begin at — useful when this file continues a document that already has page numbers from an earlier part.
Can the page numbers be removed afterward?
No. Like a watermark, the number is drawn straight into the page content, so there's no remove button hidden in the file. To get rid of it, process the original, unnumbered file again.
Does the accented word "Trang" render correctly?
Yes. The tool embeds a Unicode font in the file, so accented labels display correctly in every PDF viewer, whichever language you're numbering in.
Does this upload my file to a server?
No. The whole numbering process runs as JavaScript right inside your browser. Your file never leaves your device.
