Frequently asked questions

How do I enter page ranges?
Write groups separated by commas, for example 1-3, 7, 9-12. Each group becomes its own file, so that example produces three files.
Are pages numbered from 1 or from 0?
From 1, matching the page numbers you see when you open the file. Entering 0 will show an error.
Why does the download come as a .zip file?
When splitting produces more than one file, the browser can't hand you several downloads at once, so the results are bundled into a single .zip. You can still download each file individually from the list.
What's the largest file this can split?
We've tested it with a 200-page file split into 200 files. Larger files still work, just more slowly, since everything runs on your own device.
Does this change my original file?
No. The original file on your device is never touched; the tool only reads it and creates new files from it.
